The BALCO SL10 motorised Wheel Balancer

As our entry-level Wheel Balancer from the SilverLine package, the SL10 doesn’t compromise on quality for the sake of price. The ideology was to consider what type of customer might be looking for a more ‘budget’ machine, and in our experience, this is someone who maybe doesn’t see tyres as their main business, or who is just starting out. Therefore, the most likely scenario is that there are no pre-conceptions or demanding requirements for ‘features’, and this is where we save on cost.

Despite this, whilst the SL10 may not have luxury features such as a video display or automatic clamping, it does still boast an impressive specification, which includes automatic, 2D data entry of the rim diameter and offset, a foot-operated spindle lock for easy weight application, and automatic start/stop of the rim upon lowering of the hood and finishing of the spin cycle. All to often we see low-cost or ‘budget’ balancers failing too early in their life because cost has been removed through cheap components or poor construction. We don’t think this is acceptable; at the very least you should expect a product from Balco to be of a good standard and offer some longevity. So whilst we may not be able to reach the lows of machines sold online or through eBay, we are confident that the SL10 represents the best value, if not the cheapest price you might find.
